Frequently Asked Questions
- Will this change or delete my original images?
No. Conversion and compression keep a restorable backup, and WebP copies sit alongside your originals. Even the Pro “replace originals” action moves files to a 30-day holding area you can undo — nothing is deleted outright.
- What if a visitor's browser doesn't support WebP?
They simply get the original JPEG/PNG/GIF. WebP is only served to browsers that advertise support via the Accept header, so there's no broken-image risk.
- What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free covers up to 100 WebP conversions plus compression, automatic serving and the library scan. Pro removes the conversion limit and unlocks replacing originals with WebP across your whole site, with a safe URL rewrite and undo window.
- How many sites does one licence cover?
One website per key. A key binds to the first domain it activates on; you can release it from your account to move it to a new site.
- Does it work with page builders like Elementor & Divi?
Yes. Media Optimizer works with all major page builders (Elementor, Divi, Bricks, Gutenberg) and theme frameworks.
